Make sure you have access to the latest dental developments

Staying on top of things in your practice can be difficult. You will have patients to treat, administrative tasks to manage and a whole range of other bits and bobs to get on with. As such, it can be difficult to stay on top of what’s new in the dental profession. You could end up missing out on vital information and technology as a result.

New progress is being made in the field of dentistry all the time, but publicising them to dentists can be difficult. As a result, many practices are missing out on the latest developments and methods, some of which might be just what they need to improve the standard of care they deliver or make themselves more efficient.

So how can a practice keep informed about the latest developments in dentistry? The answer is to visit dental trade exhibitions. Here, huge numbers of dentists and others working in the industry come together to see new equipment, technology and services first hand.

This is much better than reading press releases and browsing through catalogues, as you are able to experience the developments for yourself. You can see the effects of a new treatment in front of your eyes, enabling you to make a much better, more informed decision.

One of these trade exhibitions is coming up soon: the British Dental Industry Association (BDIA) Dental Showcase. This is one of the biggest such events in the country; it attracts more visitors than any other British dental event, as well as featuring “the largest number of on-stand experts presenting the biggest selection of dental equipment, products, technologies and services in the UK.”

You can learn everything from the latest developments in oral healthcare to dental marketing advice from the exhibitors. Over 350 stands will be present at the event, with a range of experts in their field who will be happy to talk you through their product or service.

The exhibition will also feature a series of complimentary ‘Mini Lectures’, so you can learn more about dental care. This can contribute to your continuous professional development. There will also be live theatre demonstrations, and the whole event is a valuable opportunity for networking.

Among the many exhibitors will be huge industry organisations, such as the British Dental Association and the British Dental Health Foundation. Oral healthcare specialists such as Colgate will also be in attendance, as well as dental marketing specialists Designer Dental at stand S20.

Designer Dental is a well-established firm with a lot of expertise that its representatives will be happy to share on the day. This is a great opportunity to learn more about marketing your practice, as well as issues such as staff training requirements.

This makes the BDIA Dental Showcase the perfect place to visit, whether you are looking for advice on how to improve your standards of care or a new design for your dental practice’s posters.

The exhibition will be held on October 9th-11th at the ExCeL London Exhibition and Convention Centre. It is definitely worth turning up if you are looking for any way in which to improve your practice and attract new patients.
