For modern dental practices, it has never been more important to deliver a high-quality online experience.
An increasing number of consumers are relying on the internet to find information and organise their lives, meaning expectations around the diversity and reliability of web services are rising all the time.
Many people now see the smartphone as their default method for browsing online, meaning it’s vital for organisations of all kinds to have mobile-optimised webpages.
This is a key element of something that appears to be growing in importance for online consumers: ease of navigation.
A survey by marketing technology firm Acquia found that approximately two-thirds (65 per cent) of respondents preferred websites that are easy to navigate.
More than one in ten (13 per cent) thought it was important for websites to look good, while 11 per cent looked for engaging online content, Netimperative reported.
Only 2.6 per cent of consumers listed personalisation as an important part of a brand’s digital offering. This finding pointed to a disconnect between many marketers and their audiences, with 92 per cent of senior digital marketing professionals saying personalisation is important.
Summing up the findings, Sylvia Jensen, Acquia’s EMEA vice-president of marketing, said: “Of course, it’s imperative to have a website that looks good and is easy to navigate, but it’s effective personalisation and content that will differentiate brands in the end.”
If your dental practice has ambitions to deliver an enjoyable and rewarding online experience for patients, it can prove highly valuable to invest in web design services that encompass everything from the style and usability of your webpages to the effectiveness of online treatment booking.
